4. Bison White Wine Burgers

Bison tends to be lower in fat than beef and has an extra rich flavor.


  • 1 lb. ground bison
  • ¾ c. white wine
  • 3 tbsp shallots, minced
  • ¼ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. dried thyme
  • Olive oil

Heat the grill or frying pan to high. Mix the burger ingredients and form four patties. Brush with oil and cook five minutes per side.
