2. Honeydew Mint Iced Tea

This green tea recipe is super easy and delightfully tasty. Although it takes a lot of time to make it, it will be worth it in the end, I promise.

Ingredients:

  • 5 bags of green tea
  • 3 cups of honeydew melon, peeled, cubed
  • 1 cup of mint leaves
  • 1/3 cup of granulated sugar

Portion size: 8

Directions:

In a large bowl or heatproof measure, steep tea in 8 cups of boiling water for about 4 minutes and discard bags. Meantime, in a large saucepan, put sugar, melon, mint leaves and 1 cup of water and bring to the boil. Then, reduce heat and simmer approximately 8 minutes or until melon is very soft and broken down.

Add to your tea, let it cool for about 30 minutes and put in your fridge for 2 hours. Strain mixture through cheesecloth-lined sieve, discard solids, and serve with some ice cubes.
