2. Ingredients for Baked Cheddar Chicken Breasts

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 tsp. white pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 Tbsp. buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 1/2 cup cornflakes (crushed)
  • 2 Tbsp. Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tsp. dried parsley
  • 2 lb. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. black pepper

3. Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. Combine the flour, garlic salt, and white pepper in a shallow bowl.
  3. Whisk together the egg, buttermilk, sour cream, and melted butter in a separate shallow bowl until smooth.
  4. Combine the cheddar cheese, crushed cornflakes, Parmesan, and parsley in a third shallow bowl.
  5. Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack inside baking sheet.
  6. Pat the chicken dry and sprinkle with the salt and pepper. Working in an assembly line, coat a chicken breast in the flour mixture and shake off excess.
