  • 2 lb. split chicken wingettes (16 pieces)
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 3/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp. finely grated fresh ginger
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 Tbsp. chili-garlic sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 scallions

3. Directions:

3.1 Preheat

Preheat the oven to 425°F.

3.2 Prep

Set a wire rack in a baking sheet and lightly oil rack using a paper towel.

Pat the chicken wings with paper towels until they are completely dry. Season generously with the salt and pepper and dust with flour, shaking off excess. Arrange wings on rack so they are not touching.

While wings bake, finely grate the ginger and place in a small bowl. Add the honey, chili-garlic sauce, hoisin, and soy sauce and stir to blend. Thinly slice the scallions and set aside.

3.5 Check

Check to see that wings are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.

3.6 Serve

Brush wings with some of the sauce if desired. Arrange wings on a platter, sprinkle with reserved scallions, and serve with more sauce on the side.
