7. Oven-Fried Chicken

Baking is a healthy alternative to deep-frying.

Ingredients:

  • 16 chicken pieces
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 tblsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 6 tblsp. oil

Preheat your oven to 350°. Divide the oil between two 9×13 inch pans.

In a bowl, mix the flour and herbs. Dip each piece of chicken in egg and then coat thoroughly in the flour mixture. Lay in the pans and bake for 30 minutes or until done.
