– 2 ¾ cups all-purpose flour – 1 cup butter, softened – ½ teaspoon baking powder – 1 teaspoon baking soda – 1 egg – 1 ½ cups white sugar – 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda and baking powder.

In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
