White sugar, 2 tablespoons one teaspoon of lemon juice 6 ears of corn on the cob, without the husks or silk


Bring water in a big pot up to about 3/4 full to a boil. Lemon juice and sugar are added; stir until sugar is dissolved. Place the corn gently into the boiling water, cover the pot, turn off the heat, and allow the corn to cook for 10 minutes or until it is tender.
