– 4-5 pound boneless pork shoulder – 1/4 cup brown sugar – 1 tablespoon paprika – 1 teaspoon garlic powder – 1 teaspoon onion powder – 1 teaspoon chili powder

Ingredients:

– 1 teaspoon dried thyme – 1 teaspoon dried basil – 1 teaspoon dried oregano – 1/2 teaspoon salt – 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

– 1 cup chicken broth – 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar – 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce – 2 tablespoons liquid smoke (optional)

Ingredients:

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, thyme, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Instructions:

Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder. Place the pork shoulder in a slow cooker and pour the chicken broth, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke (if using) over the top.

Cook on low for 8-10 hours, or until the pork is tender and easily shreds with a fork. Remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred with two forks.
