Start by heating up your charcoal or gas grill. Each ear of corn should be placed on a 12-inch square of sturdy foil after being shucked.  Add a standard-sized ice cube and a spoonful of butter to the top. Then, securely wrap each ear, and grill for about 20 minutes over high heat.

If you're using a charcoal grill, allow more time for preparation and cooking because you'll need to wait for the coals to heat up. (But don't worry, the wait will be worth it because this corn is in the style of a county fair.)

How to Grill Corn

The corn need more moisture to grill well after the husk is removed. The ice cube fills this role. The ice inside the foil packet melts as the corn cooks, creating steam that keeps the kernels from drying out.
