2. Ingredients for Cajun Baked Chicken Wings
- nonstick cooking spray
- 2 lbs. chicken wings
- 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. dried thyme leaves
- 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. dried parsley
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/4 tsp. cumin
- 1/4 cayenne pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
- ¼ tsp. black pepper
3. Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a roasting rack on top. Cover the rack with another sheet of foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Use a knife to poke holes all over the foil.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
- Place the chicken wings in a gallon-sized zip-top bag. Drizzle the olive oil into the bag. Sprinkle in the salt. Seal the bag and shake to evenly coat the chicken wings.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the spices, sugar, and black pepper. Sprinkle the spice mixture into the zip-top bag. Seal the bag and shake to evenly coat the chicken.
- Arrange the chicken wings on the foil-covered roasting rack.
- Bake the chicken wings on middle rack of oven until browned and crispy, 45-50 minutes.
- Check to see that chicken wings are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
- Allow the chicken wings to rest on roasting rack for 3 minutes. Plate and serve immediately.
