- 1/2 cup (115g) unsalted butter (well-softened)
- 1/3 cup canola oil
- 1 1/4 cup (250g) dark brown sugar (packed)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 3 large eggs
- 2 1/2 cups (275g) all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Spray a 12-cup bundt cake pan liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Place the butter, canola oil, sugar, vanilla, molasses, and eggs in a large mixing bowl. Mix until smooth and combined.
Sift the flour, spices, baking powder, baking soda, and salt into the bowl. Mix until the ingredients begin to come together, then stream in the buttermilk. Continue mixing until the batter is smooth and medium-thick.
Pour the batter into the bundt pan.
