3.1 Preheat

Preheat the oven to 400°F.

3.2 Prep

Remove papery skins from the outside of garlic bulbs. Detach the cloves from the roots.

Cut two sheets of aluminum foil roughly 10 inches each.

Place one sheet of foil on a baking sheet and scatter the garlic cloves on top. Drizzle evenly with the olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Lay the second sheet of foil over cloves. Crimp edges of the two sheets tightly together, creating a packet.

Roast the garlic on middle rack of oven until a toothpick easily pierces cloves, 45-50 minutes.

3.4 Check

Check to see that garlic is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
