When I was a teenager, my mom kept the freezer stocked with these sandwiches. I’d pull one out for lunch and not have to bother with dirtying dishes (or washing them afterward!). They are really, really tasty.My kids like them just as much, but I rarely put them in the freezer. If I make them, the line is already formed with people wanting to eat them immediately. Still, it’s fun to make them and serve them straight out of the foil.

2. Ingredients for Freezer Sandwiches
- 16 slices cooked ham
- 2 pkg cheese slices (cheddar or Swiss work great)
- 16 hamburger buns or little hoagie rolls
- Sauce: ¾ cup butter
- 1 Tbsp mustard
- 1 Tbsp finely minced onion
3. Directions:
- Melt butter, add mustard and onion.
- Spoon on both sides of buns.
- Add ham and cheese.
- Wrap each sandwich individually in foil or in sandwich bags.
- Bake 350 degrees 20 minutes.
- If frozen, you can heat up in microwave or oven.
