2. Ingredients for Barbecue Baked Chicken Legs
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 2 1/2 lb. chicken drumsticks (patted dry)
- 2 tsp. sea salt
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce (for chicken legs)
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce (for serving)
- green onions
3. Directions:
3.1 Preheat
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
3.2 Prep
Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Spray liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
Place the chicken legs in a large mixing bowl and season with the salt and black pepper. Add the barbecue sauce and toss with a rubber spatula to thoroughly coat the chicken in the sauce.
Arrange the chicken legs on the prepared baking sheet.
3.3 Oven
Roast the chicken legs on middle rack of oven until slightly brown, 20-30 minutes.
Set the oven to broil. Broil the chicken until the skin is caramelized and the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F, 3-5 minutes. Keep a close eye on the chicken to ensure it does not burn.
