- 4 slices thick-cut bread
- 2 Tbs. butter, well softened
- 4 eggs
- Salt and black pepper

3. Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the toasted bread on the baking sheet.
- Spread both sides of each slice of bread with the softened butter.
- Using a 3-inch round cookie cutter or the rim of a glass, cut a circle in the center of each slice of bread.
- Crack an egg into a small bowl, and pour the egg into one of the circles. Repeat with the remaining slices of bread.
- Bake on the middle rack of oven until eggs are set and bread is golden, 12-14 minutes.
- Check to see that dish is done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
- Sprinkle the eggs with salt and black pepper. Serve immediately.
