2. Ingredients for Oven-Baked Eggs with Cheese
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 12 eggs
- 2/3 cup shredded cheese
- Salt (to taste)
- Black pepper (to taste)
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Spray a 12-cavity muffin pan liberally with nonstick cooking spray.
Carefully crack one egg into each cup, taking care not to break the yolks. Sprinkle 1 scant tablespoon shredded cheese over each egg.
Bake the eggs on middle rack of oven for 16-20 minutes, (the lesser amount of time for runny yolks and the longer time for solid yolks).
Check to see that eggs are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.
To remove eggs from pan, run the tip of a knife around the edge of each egg and carefully lift it from the cup.
Serve immediately, seasoned with salt and black pepper to taste.
