Recipe For Apple Pudding

This recipe originally posted on December 14, 2008. It needed more love, so here it is again. It is one of our favorite winter/fall desserts. I think I could eat an apple dessert every day of winter. Are there that many? This is a pudding in the thick cake sense…like a figgy pudding or a steamed pudding or an Indian pudding. It is not a custard, so it isn’t creamy and smooth in the Jell-o sense. The vanilla butter sauce is a delightful finishing touch. Keep it in a jar and use the rest over other cakes or pies or desserts. You may find yourself eating it by the spoonful. I won’t tell, if you do.
