- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 Tbsp. salted butter
- 1/2 cup onion (diced)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
- 1 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded, for casserole)
- 1 pkg. jumbo biscuits (16 oz. tube)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded, for topping)
3. Directions:
3.1 Preheat
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
3.2 Prep
Spray a 9×13-inch baking dish liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
3.3 Stove
Melt the butter in a large saute pan. Add the onions and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the garlic and ground beef and cook until browned, breaking up the beef with a wooden spoon, 5-6 minutes.
3.4 Prep
Remove the beef mixture from heat and add the barbecue sauce and cheese. Stir to combine.
Line the bottom of the prepared baking dish with the biscuits. Top with the beef mixture and remaining cheese.

Bake the casserole on middle rack of oven until beef reaches a temperature of 160°F, biscuits are cooked, and cheese is bubbling, 15-20 minutes.
