  • 8 slices thick-cut challah or Texas toast
  • 1/4 cup (57g) butter, well softened
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup (65g) sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Maple syrup, for serving

3. Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the bread on the baking sheet. Spread a thin layer of butter on both sides of each slice of bread.
  3. Place the eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk vigorously to combine.
