Skin Rejuvenator Juice Recipe

Ever since the holidays, my skin just hasn’t been the same. It doesn’t have that same GLOW about it that it normally does so this week I’ve been on the hunt to find the perfect skin recipe to rejuvenate my tired skin!

Here are the main ingredients I’ve found that help support the luminosity of our skin:

Berries. Dark berries are bursting with skin clearing antioxidants. They’re also jam packed with polyphenol antioxidants, Dr. Perricone says. Polyphenols fight free radicals and regulate skin’s blood flow, giving it rosiness and a youthful glow.

Mint. It acts as a natural anti-inflammatory which can help soften and calm dry or itchy skin. Mint also contains sylic acid a natural acne fighting compound and Vitamin A which can help regulate oiliness. It rejuvenates and refreshes the skin making it bright and soft!

Fennel. If you’re not familiar with this liquorice-flavoured root vegetable already – get to know it. Aside from aiding digestion, reducing swelling in the body and helping to flush out excess fluids and toxins, it also works wonders for the health of your skin and hair.

Kale. Kale contains a full range of vitamins A, B complex, C, E and K, as well as potent levels of manganese, calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, protein, folate and phosphorus. (save your kale stems from making kale salads and use them in your juices!)

Green Apple. Green Apples are rich in Vitamin C which helps in preventing damage against skin cells by free radicals and thus reduces the chances of skin cancer. They also contain anti-oxidants which help in cell re-building and cell rejuvenation. This also helps you in maintaining healthy and glowing skin. The antioxidants also protect your liver and ensure its proper functioning.

Broccoli. Antioxidants like vitamins A, B complex, C, E, and K all help to add luminosity to the skin and to revive damaged tissue, while omega 3 fatty acids, calcium and folate support the healing process and aid the proper function of skin cells. (I save all my broccoli stems and use them for my juices!)

Watercress. These leafy greens are jammed full of antioxidants as well as minerals manganese, carotene and potassium. This makes watercress a powerful cleansing agent, nourishing the skin while helping to flush out toxins and excess fluids in the process. Bonus!

Cucumber. Cucumbers are a natural diuretic and skin smoother. Cooling properties can help reduce redness and inflammation when used both topically and internally.

Lemon. Lemon juice is a natural digestive and liver cleanser. It’s also a rockstar antiviral and antibacterial. Lemon is known for it’s skin clearing properties and when consumed daily can have a powerful illuminating effect on the skin!

Conclusion:

This delicious green juice contains loads of vitamin C and antioxidants for radiant, glowing skin!!
