2. Ingredients for Maple Nut Baked Oatmeal

  • 2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 Tbsp. butter (melted)
  • 1/3 cup (65g) light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) maple syrup (plus more for serving)
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. maple extract
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • Salt
  • 3 oz. (3/4 cup) pecans or walnuts

3. Directions:

3.1 Preheat

Preheat oven to 375°F.

3.2 Prep

Spray a 9-inch square baking dish liberally with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.

Place the oats, milk, egg, melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, maple extract, cinnamon, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.

Finely chop the nuts. Add to the oat mixture and fold to distribute.

Pour the oatmeal into the prepared baking dish.
