2. Ingredients for Quick and Easy Turkey Meatballs

  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 lb. ground turkey thigh
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup panko bread crumbs
  • 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 3/4 tsp. salt
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 jar marinara sauce (about 24 oz. per jar)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

3. Directions:

3.1 Preheat

Preheat the oven to 350°F.

3.2 Prep

Line two baking sheets with parchment paper. Set aside.

Grate or press the garlic cloves into a large mixing bowl. Add the turkey, egg, panko, Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Using clean hands, mix the ingredients together until they are thoroughly combined.

Using clean hands, roll the mixture into 48 balls about 1-inch in diameter and 1 1/2 oz. each, and place on the prepared baking sheets.

Bake the meatballs on middle rack of oven until cooked through, 16-17 minutes.

Check to see that meatballs are done. Remove from oven or add time as needed.

Transfer the meatballs to a large pot and add the marinara sauce. Set the pot over medium heat and bring to a simmer. Simmer the meatballs in the sauce until heated through, about 15 minutes.

Transfer the meatballs to a serving dish and top with grated Parmesan cheese, if desired. Serve immediately.
